Winslow Studio collaborated with Cinco Design and Marmoset Music on the "Better Together" project for Design Week Portland 2017. The interactive event explored how different components can be combined to create an imaginative interactive environment, all centered around the eclipse.
To achieve this, the team utilized FLIR thermal camera technology to measure the movement and density of the crowd's thermal signature, combined with midi controllers to activate the event's various visual environments, which were produced by Cinco Design, and audio, which was created by Marmoset Music. Winslow Studio provided projection mapping, creative direction, and live VJing to enhance the event, creating a one-of-a-kind, immersive experience that combined technology, art, and music.
The resulting experience was like no other, featuring imagery ranging from sunsets to wolves to pop art-esque donuts, paired with ambient scores created by Marmoset's talented team of composers.
The "Better Together" project was held at New Era Studios and was a resounding success. The event was a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and technology. Winslow Studio is proud to have been part of such an incredible project and grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such amazing partners.
