Winslow Studio was commissioned by Wieden+Kennedy to design an immersive installation for their office building in Portland. The goal was to enhance the architecture during a founders' memorial and holiday party with over 2,000 employees.
We created an original immersive light artwork called Memory Spheres using the technique of projecting through translucent balloons. We filled the space with forty-one 36-inch balloons and one massive 72-inch balloon, displaying a randomized and animated array of 150 curated photographs.
To change the energy in the space, we made four different custom animation sets with spatialized sound design by Parallel Studio. These synchronized audiovisuals were complimented by a curated playlist.
The flow of spatial sound, animations, and photographs successfully moved energy through the space, achieving our goal of highlighting the building's architecture and the company's history.
